Like any preservation railway the BBR also has
some long term rollingstock restoration projects which may one day be completed and
see use on
the railway.

R 1751 is an ex WAGR bogie open wagon. It has been in store
since purchase from Westrail salvage. BBR has 4 R wagons - 3 of which are
in use. They are the only remaining R wagons in use in W.A.
It requires fitting of drawgear, steel headstocks, bogies and
general body restoration.

ZB 213 is an ex WAGR bogie single compartment passenger
brakevan with platform end. It was found in Kewdale disguised in a brick
cladding veneer.
It requires compartment reconstruction, roof, fitting of drawgear,
bogies, guards duckets and general body restoration
It is the only known remaining example of a ZB brakevan |

BM 811 is an ex MRWA 4 wheel goods van. This van body was
found tucked away inside a shed at Bell Brothers in Kalamunda Rd. It was
being used as a tool store.
It requires fitting of drawgear, hornstays, axleboxes, wheels and
general body restoration
It is the only remaining example of a MRWA BM goods van |
